The trailer hitch replaces any bicycle carrier preparation that may have been installed at the factory.
This bike rack preparation already includes a 13-pin electrical kit, which can still be used.
It's possible that the vehicle's engine cooling system isn't sufficient for trailer operation. In this case, it may be necessary to replace parts of the cooling system.
Please also note the information in the operating instructions.

All necessary screws and mounting hardware are included in delivery.

General Operating Permit (ABE) and ECE - Product Certification

Towbars that have already been approved according to Regulation ECE 55 or, previously, Directive 94/20/E are already tested according to European standards. They comply with EC directives, are type-tested, and are approved for the German market. It is not necessary to have the towbar approved by an expert or inspector after installation, nor to have it entered in the vehicle documents.

When using a bicycle or cargo rack, the installation of extension 190648 is required. Only then will the rear fog light on the vehicle be automatically switched off, as required by law.
